Abstract I have also searched into the virtues of fear and hope and the positive effects resulting from them. Hence, the greatest of such virtues is that which Allah brings them in Paradise and takes them under His satisfaction. In this concern, Allah says, "But for him who fears the standing before his Lord, their will be two Gardens (i.e., in Paradise)" (Arrahmaan:46). He also says, "Allah will be pleased with them, and they with Him. That is for him who fears his Lord" (Albayinah:8) One of the virtues of hope is opening one's door of expectation and putting out despair and hopelessness of him. In this regard, Allah says, "Say: O 'Ibadi' (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!"Az-Zumar:53). One of the effects resulting from fear and hope is commitment to the right track which satisfies Allah and brings one into Paradise. |
